Important Dates
Please review the following dates to ensure that your film is submitted properly and by the February 28, 2025 at 11:59 PM deadline. If there are any questions concerning these dates, please contact us.
November 1, 2024
Registration Opens
Teachers and coaches can register through the site starting on November 1st, 2024. Be sure to submit a School Authorization signed by a School Administrator.
Between registration and submission, teachers and students must complete the following steps:
Review the Submission Guidelines, and Register for the Festival
Teachers and coaches can register through the website for Picture the Valley starting on November 1st, 2024. Be sure to review the submission guidelines before registering.
Choose a Film Topic
Review the categories and divisions, and scoring rubrics, then choose a topic for your film.
Submit the Necessary Forms
Complete the School Authorization form and PPA forms for each student, then upload them to the Picture the Valley website.
Create and Upload Your Film
Use the Creating Your Film page and Past Films to assist you in the production process. Before you submit, create a YouTube account and upload the film to the site.
Have Your Film Approved
Review the submission guidelines and copyright requirements to ensure that your film is approved.

Film Submissions Due
Film must be submitted and approved by this date. School Authorization / Media Release Forms must be completed and uploaded before the deadline.
